1) Which tool is used to draw a Square?
Ans:- Rectangle is the tool in Paint that is used for drawing a Square.
2) Which tool can be used to erase a part of picture?
Ans :- Eraser is the tool which is sued for erasing a part of picture.
3) Which tool allows us for zoom-in our picture?
Ans :- Magnifier, this tool is used for zoom in our picture.
4) Which tool is used for free-hand writing?
Ans :- Pencil is the tool that is used for free hand writing/drawing.
5) Which tool can be used to write text in our drawing?
Ans :- Text tool is used for adding/writing the text in our drawing.
Q3) Short Answer type Questions :-
1) What are the options available in the Clipboard Menu?
Ans :- In the Paint program, the clipboard menu has three option – Cut, Copy and Paste.
2) Write about Crop option.
Ans :- The top button, a diamond shape with a line icon through it is called as Crop. This option is used for erasing or cropping the picture/image without disturbing the selected area/part of the picture. After cropping the large/full picture into the selected area, and after saving it, then the full picture or image before the cropping will not get saved but the image/picture after the cropping with new selected area will be saved.
3) Write the name of tools available in Tools Menu.
Ans :- Pencil, Fill with color, The text tool, Eraser, The color Picker, and the magnifier are the names of the tools that are available in the Tools Menu.
4) What is size tool?
Ans :- This tool is used only when any brush or shape is inserted into the paint program. You will be able to see the small down arrow that is appearing under the Size Tool when any of the shape or brush is been selected (for selecting the line thickness). The line thickness also depends on the brushes that is been chosen.
5) Write about brushes.
Ans :- In Paint program brushes are made used when if we want to apply the color to any picture or text with the changes in the texture width (brush nip size). Brush, Calligraphy 1, Calligraphy 2, airbrush, crayon, marker, natural pencil, water color etc are some the examples of different types of brushes. These different types of brushes along with their texture width are explained below in the picture :-
6) Give the name of groups present there in Home tab ribbon.
Ans :- Clipboard, Image, tools, shapes, size, colors, edit colors etc are the names of some groups which are present in the Home tab ribbon.
Q4) Long Answer type Questions :-
1) Explain the color tool of MS Paint.
Ans :- The color tool of MS Pain is been divided into three sections/parts which are
i) The currently active colors :- In this section/part you may see that the two colors i.e is Color 1 and Color 2 – gets activated when you perform any task in the Paint.
- Color 1 – This box contains the foreground color and by default you may see the black color. Below you may notice the figure of Color 2 selected in the Color boxes
- Color 2 :- In this box, you may also notice that the white color which is by default in the Paint program and is known as Back ground Color. Below you may notice the figure of Color 2 selected in the Color boxes\
Note :- You can also change the by default colors of the Color 1 and Color 2 boxes, by clicking on the box whose color you wants to change whether its for Color 1 box or Color 2 box and then may select any color of your choice/wish from the color palette and click on the particular color. You may even notice that the selected color gets appeared/shown in the selected color boxes i.e is Color 1 and Color 2.
ii) The color palette :- The color palette is nothing but it looks similar to your color box which contains different types of colors with which you can perform any sort of task in the Paint program specially with colouring the picture.
Note :- Without saving your work in the Paint program and then close the program directly, the applied colors or edited colors in your work gets removed/ clears out.
iii) Edit colors :- in this part we can make a combination of two or more colors together by mixing them. In the extended palette, we can click on any color and click on the Add to Custom Colors. By doing this you can add only one color from the palette into the squares. If incase we want to add more colors, then we have to go back to the palette and add the colors from the palette only one at a time.
2) What is Text Tool? How to Format the text.
Ans :- In MS-Paint program the text tool is indicated by A which is made used to insert any text into the picture/drawing. To apply or insert the text in the picture/drawing, it is necessary for one to click on the text tool. Then you may notice that the cursor will be changed into the insertion point. With the help of the cursor we can select the required area for entering/typing text. We must also make sure till our text is been completely finalised, we don’t have to click outside the text area. When the text is inserted into the picture or drawing with the help of text tool, then Text tool bar/ Text tool bar tab appears on the top beside View tab.
Formatting the Text
To format the text in Paint program we make use of the following steps :
- We have to make selection of the text that we had typed.
- Now you have to click on the small arrow that is in front of the Font Name box, after which a list of different font names gets displayed.
- Without pressing me button, you just need to run the mouse cursor over the different font names where you notice that when you run or move the mouse cursor the font names to the selected text gets changes accordingly. The font which suits our requirement, we have to click on particular font name.
- The font names gets disappeared.
- We can also repeat with the same process for the Font size option too.
- We can also click the background from Transparent to Opaque and vice versa.
- We can make changes in the Color 1 and Color 2
