Tripura board of Secondary Education was established in 1973 by an Act Called Tripura Board of Secondary Education Act, 1973 as passed by Tripura Legislative Assembly. The board started its functioning from the 1st January, 1976. The board is responsible for the upliftment of the education system of the state.

Dr.Bhabatosh Saha is the present chairman of Tripura Board of Secondary Education. Dr.Dulal Dey is the Secretary of Tripura Board of Secondary Education. Responsibilities of TBSE
