The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, also known as RBSE, is the state board of Rajasthan. Rajasthan is not only famous for its royal heritage and rich culture, but also for being a state with high class educational facilities with prestigious universities, colleges and schools. The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education was established on 4th December, 1957 under the “Rajasthan Secondary Education of School Act 1957”. It today stands out to be prestigious for the state as more than 25,000 schools have affiliated to this board at the Secondary level and round 9,200 schools have been affiliated at Senior Secondary level in around 32 districts of Rajasthan. The first headquarters for RBSE was Ajmer, but in 1961 the headquarters were shifted to Ajmer and till date it remains the same. The board has a futuristic vision to promote secondary and higher secondary education in Rajasthan.

RBSE and Its Responsibilities:

The first and foremost responsibility of the board is to promote and develop the secondary and higher secondary school education level. The board is also responsible for providing a detailed guideline regarding the way the examinations are to be conducted. Everything that is to be allowed or prohibited is beforehand informed by the Board. The board is responsible for preparing a proper syllabus and time table for each and every exam mentioned above. It is on the basis of the provided syllabus that the examinees prepare for their examination. The Blueprint, that is the question paper pattern and marking system is also prepared by the board and is shared with the students. The Board provides resources and materials that are to be studied during the academic year of the students at a cheap price. The material is made available everywhere in the state so that the students can easily buy them at affordable prices. RBSE is responsible for the declaration of the results of the examinations conducted by the Board itself. The Board announces a certain date beforehand, which may change according to circumstances.

Syllabus and Time Table

RBSE prepares a filtered syllabus with all the essential topics suitable to the class. The syllabus helps students prepare for their preparations. Students need to go through the syllabus and prepare accordingly.
