Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB)

Established in 1964, Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board aims to establish strong pillars of primary, secondary and higher secondary education in Karnataka. KSEEB is the supreme authority which is concerned with conducting the “Secondary School Level Certificate” Examination for Class 10th and “Pre University Certificate” Examination for Class 12th. Other than conducting examinations for Classes 10th and 12th, the board is also responsible for many other things like preparing the syllabus, granting recognition to schools, approving and sanctioning books and declaring the results.

The headquarters of KSEEB are located in Bangalore and they aim at promoting a strong system of education in Karnataka through its strong initiatives. The director for SSLC board is Sumanagala V and the director for PUC board is M Kanagavalli. The chief secretary of KSEEB is K.H Chandrappa. The official language of the board is Kannada.

Responsibilities of Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB)

KSEEB has impressed the country with its education system for it takes its responsibilities very seriously. KSEEB has many responsibilities to fulfill like preparing the syllabus for the schools affiliated under KSEEB, to approve and sanction books that are to be used in the teaching and learning methods and which completely explain the syllabus prepared by them. The board is also responsible for conducting SSLC and PUC examinations for Classes 10th and 12th respectively. It also declares the time table for the same. It also grants recognition to schools and also carries out an annual inspection on the performance of the schools. Not only this, the board is also responsible for declaring the board examination results of SSC and PUC after a month or two.

KSEEB is responsible for preparing the syllabus and declaring the time table for SSLC and PUC examinations. The syllabus and time table prepared by them are the basis of the examinations of SSLC and PUC. The time table by KSEEB is declared two months before the examinations.
