Established in 1964, Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board aims to establish strong pillars of primary, secondary and higher secondary education in Karnataka. KSEEB is the supreme authority which is concerned with conducting the “Secondary School Level Certificate” Examination for Class 10th and “Pre University Certificate” Examination for Class 12th. Other than conducting examinations for Classes 10th and 12th, the board is also responsible for many other things like preparing the syllabus, granting recognition to schools, approving and sanctioning books and declaring the results.

The headquarters of KSEEB are located in Bangalore and they aim at promoting a strong system of education in Karnataka through its strong initiatives. Karnataka secondary education examination board was formed with the aim of monitoring primary, secondary and higher secondary education system of the state Karnataka. KSEEB is the only responsible authority to monitor and regulate each stage of secondary and higher secondary education for the state board. This board conducts secondary school level certificate examination for class 10th and pre university certificate examination for class 12th students within definite time for every year.
