Yoga has introduced “Exercise for Eyes” with flowing methods that can help the near-sighted or people bearing eyeglasses.
Technique-
Sit in ‘Vajarasana’ or ‘Padmasana’ for this exercise.
Blink your eyes, open and close as a warmup exercise before beginning the main Exercises.
After following each exercise rub your palms on one another and place them surrounding the eyes forming a cup of the palms.
- Vertical movements- By keeping your head steady move your eyeballs up-down-up-down meticulously for 7 times.
- Horizontal Movements- In this exercise keep your facial muscles relaxed and maintain a smile on your face.
Now move your eyeballs in the Left-right-left-right position atleast 7 times.
- Diagonal movements – In this exercise move your eyeballs from left-right upwards and from right upward to left downward position. Repeat this combination atleast 7 times.
- Rotations-
Clockwise – Move your Eye Balls from left up to right down. For seven times.
Anti-clockwise- In this exercise, start from the Right.
- Palming– Rub your palms on each other and placed them on the eyes, mount your hands as they won’t touch the eyeballs.
Press and Release Palming-
Follow the same procedure for press and release palming.
Inhale and press the palms on the eyes and exhale and release the pressure of the palms but maintain the contact.
- Planning with Brahmari-
Keep palms mounted around the Eyes and inhale, while exhaling produces the sound of a Bee Humming and feel the vibrations on the eyes.
