The brutality of war and tragic death put him to rest.
His rest is not disturbed by insects because he is dead and lying in sunlight.

The contradictions are first Lomov pretends that the meadows are his, the Guess is better than Squeezer. Natalya does not like when someone says something but does not mean it. As per her, Squeezer is hundred times better than silly Guess. So they had arguments about it.
