Subject: to share concern about the outcome of pandemics cast adverse effects on education.
Respected sir,
I am writing this letter to express my present concern about the adverse effects on education system due to arising cases of pandemic. When the pandemic was spreading rapidly all schools and colleges were closed during the prolonged lockdown. Then students got the only option of online classes to continue their academics. Though they felt happy to experience new mode of learning through internet. They could realise that online class can never be an effective substitute of in person learning. Despite that fact there are students who cannot even access internet for living in remote areas and unable to afford smartphones. As a result, many students left behind in the progress of learning their academics. They could not attend online classes and some were unable to understand subjects properly. Some were even forced to stop studying due to lack of resources in family. Students of poor background took some odd jobs at that time to support their families. Students passed their final school examinations as per the government guidelines. But they remained far behind in actual learning which they need to apply for future learning. So, they face difficulties while learning new chapters in new classes. A big gap had been created in their ultimate learning goals. Only hard work and dedication can fill that gap with time. I wish the government will take more helpful initiatives for the welfare of all level students. If the government arrange extra classes and lesson books for students they can get minimum chances to enhance their knowledge which they could not in pandemic. All teachers and parents should become aware of this fact for their welfare of students.
I will be happy if you publish a well-informed article about this concern in your newspaper. It will be helpful to reach the mass media and the government. As a result, students can get better chances of learning and we will get wise students in future. Thank you.
Yours faithfully,
Sunil Ghosh
