v) A tree grows from the ground by absorbing air, water and sunlight throughout several years. The roots hold the soil strongly to give the tree strength. A simple jab with knife is not enough to kill a tree. It takes much time to separate tree from the ground which is its living space.
Killing a tree is indeed a tough task which takes huge time. A complete tree grows up by consuming the resources through years. Hacking and chopping will not help to cut a tree completely. It will only hurt the bark and branches of tree. The bark will be healed with time and curled green twigs will grow from the ground again. The miniature branches will grow up in the former size of a tree again over time. So, the ultimate process of killing a tree is uprooting it from the ground. The roots has to be pulled out by tying with a rope. Then the roots will be dried, browned and hardened by keeping in air and sunlight. Then the tree will be killed finally by losing its life fully.

Subject: to complain against the poor quality of midday meals served through the community kitchen.
Respected sir,
I beg to state that I am the secretary of the students’ council in your institute. I am getting the same complain about poor quality midday meals within school from students for quite a long time. Students have fallen sick many times by eating that midday meal as per reports. They have reported me about low quality food materials like very old rice, uncleaned pulses, tasteless food, vegetables and so on. They even found worms in cooked food sometimes. After that many students have stopped eating midday meals in school. There are many students who belong to poor background depend on midday meals in school. Some parents even send their children to school with the hope that they will get meals in school. If the situation remains like this then the number of students will decrease in school soon. Food products to cook meals for students have been delivered on time to school by the government. There is special chart and fund limited for each child from the government to provide quality food to students. But the food is provided to students supplied from the community kitchen is extremely poor in quality and taste. Students even do not feel to eat that food when they feel hungry in midday meal break. Besides that they have fear of becoming ill after eating food of midday meal. So, it is my request on behalf of all students to look over the matter of delivering good quality midday meal in time. Please take required actions to improve quality of food and deliver it properly as per the guidelines. Take strong actions to provide exact food according to chard so that children do not remain deprived from their midday meals in school.
I will be waiting for your response soon. We all will expect to get good quality midday meal from next time. thank you.
Yours faithfully,
Sumedha Sengupta
