Preparatory activity:
- Listen to the story narrated by your teacher and respond to the following questions:
1.) Who is Sweety?
Answer: Sweet is a pet rabbit of the narrator.
2.) List the words that describe Sweety.
Answer: The rabitt is white like cotton; eyes are beautiful like pomegranate seeds a bit bigger. It has beautiful long ears.
3.) What does Sweety love to eat?
Answer: Sweety loves to eat carrots and raw vegetables.
4.) Fill in the blank:
Sweety plays with the girl in the small garden behind the house.
5.) Say True or False
i) Uncle Roshan wants to play with Sweety. False
ii) Sweety was safe in the girl’s friend’s house. True
- Listen again and answer the following questions:
1.) Who do you think is telling the story?
Answer: A little girl is telling the story.
2.) Why did the narrator leave Sweety in the friend’s house?
Answer: The narrator’s uncle wanted to eat wanted to eat rabbit as meat so the narrator kept Sweety safe in her friend’s house.
3.) What would you do if you were in a similar situation?
Answer: I would have opposed uncle and kept my pet safe at my trusted friend’s house.
4.) What would Sweety tell Uncle Roshan if she could speak? Complete the sentences.
