Q.1. What types of agriculture is practiced in India? Which do you prefer? State the reason for your preference.
Ans. There are four type of agriculture is practised in India. They are –
i) Normal or Unirrigated Agriculture.
ii) Dry Farming.
iii) Irrigation Farming.
iv) Plantations.
I prefer the Normal or Unirrigated Agriculture Because, This agriculture depend on monsoon season and has variety and abundance of crops. The crops of this agriculture are plentiful.
Crops are planted in different places in different quantities across the state. Most of the total yield of India is planted at this time. This is suitable season for cultivation at this time. At this time there is an abundance of water, the soil gets its life back and crop is growing good.
Q.2. What is Irrigation Agriculture?
Ans. The land where the farming is done through irrigation i.e. wells, cakes canals etc is called as irrigation farming. In India 30% of land irrigation farming is carried out.
Q.3. Name and mention the different types of industries.
Ans. Industries are classified into three types on the basis of investment, member of employeees and quantity of production. They are –
i) Cottage industry
ii) Small scale industry
iii) Heavy industries.
i) Cottage Industries:- When people make things at home in which the investment is very low like incense stick, papad, furniture, etc These are called cottage industry.
ii) Small scale Industry:- The small scale industry consists of a factory, some machinery, some workers and in which investment is more than cottage industry . In small scale industries toys, TV, Plastics items are made.
iii) Heavy industries:- Heavy industries are those industries in which big factory, big machinery and large numbers of worker works. It requires heavy investment. So it called Heavy industry.
