(1) Answer the following question in detail.
(i) Give an introduction of constitutional provisions for welfare and development of scheduled caste and scheduled tribe.
Ans: Provisions only for scheduled castes:
(a) According to Article 17, untouchibility is totally eradicated and its practice in any form is prohibited. Any disqualification imposed due to untouchibility is considered to be legally punishable crime.
(b) According to article 25, states are given right to frame a law or continue any existing law, which permits the public institutions for social welfare or reforms to keep the Hindu religious institutions open to all Hindus.
Provisions only for scheduled Tribes :
The Article 19(5) empowers the governors of the states to impose restrictions in the interest of scheduled casts over the right to unrestricted movement of people to any region, to settle down there to acquire property or to curry out any business or trade.
(ii) State the social effects of terrorism.
Ans: (a) Terrorism leads to disintegration of the nation.
(b) Terrorism creates feeling of fear and suspicion among the people because of the fear, robbery violence.
(c) As a result of terrorism, mutual faith and feelings of brotherhood diminish.

(i) State the steps which should be taken to eradicate communalism.
Ans: Communalism is a hindrance to the progress of individual, society and nation. Steps should be under taken to eradicate communalism.
(a) At first government should take punitive actions against communal elements to eradicate communalism from the society.
(b) Education can play an important role in eradication of communalism.
(c) In our education and curriculum, positive things have been included.
(d) Special ethics are there for elections, they must be implemented and followed.
(e) Radio, T.V. cinema are the best audio visual aid to reach to common people.
(f) Youth must come forward to remove communalism.
(ii) Give an introduction of constitutional provisions for welfare and development of minority.
Ans: (a) Many provisions have been made in the constitution for the protection, welfare and progress of minorities, weaker section and backward classes.
(b) The term minority is the religious minorities that include Muslims, Christians and Zoroastrians. Every state in India has some linguistic minority.
(c) The minorities have the right to preserve their script and culture and educational right.
(d) The law does not permit forceful religious conversion.
(e) The state governments provide facilities to get the primary education in their mother tongue to the children of the minority.
(iii) State the economic effects of terrorism.
Ans: (a) Terrorism conducive atmosphere for development of business and industry is not created, the business and trade relations are adversely affected.
(b) Due to negative effect on business and industries people migrate other places.
(c) Terrorists are engaged in Anti-social activities like drug trafficking and black money.
(d) Terrorists destroy railway, radio stations roads, bridges, other Government offices. Crores of rupees have to be spent to re-established them.
(e) Government has spend crores of rupees for safety and protection.
