Distribution and Habitat-
The countries like Eurasia, Central Asia, Alp mountain and North America that includes Grasslands, deserts, Alpine, Shrublands and steppe ranges consist of the habitat of Golden Eagle.
They have Dark Brown Plumage with a grey tail. Golden Brown crown and back of the head.
The beak and feet are Yellow.
Golden Eagle is largely built with a flesh-tearing sharp beak and pointed claws that catch 250 grams of food per day, such as Mammals like Rabbit, Reptile, Squirrels, Prairie Dogs, Reptiles, Fishes, seals, coyotes, geese, cranes, etc.
The golden eagle can prey upon Owls and Falcon.
Golden eagles are territorial that maintain an area of 20 km to 200 square km home range as hunting grounds.
Courtship and Breeding.
Flight Displays are performed to put territorial claims and during courtship
For courtship, they juggle the stones and stick them in the sky and drop-catch it with a flight.
They built platform nests on cliffs. Platform nests are open circular nests with one egg laid.
There are 40-46 days for Incubation.
Chicks are fed by parents for 10 days. They take 20-40 days to stand and at 25 days they develop white plumage.
They take up flight after 66 to 75 days, gradually learning to take fly and hunt.
