QUIZ COMPETION

Dhemaji, 15 November: Gurukul JatiyaBidyalay was organizing a quiz competition yesterday on the occasion of Children’s Day Celebration. A total number of 10 groups from various Jatiya Bidyalayas of Assam was taking part in the quiz competition. Mr Dinesh Choudhury, a famous quiz master was conducting the quiz programme. He was also providing a lot of information to the students. In the preliminary round he was selecting 6 groups for the final round. Arunodaya Jatiya Bidyalay was bagging the first prize, Adarsha Niketan and Vivekananda Vidyapith was bagging the second and the third prize respectively. The Principal of the school Mr Dilip Hazarika was giving away the prizes to the winners. At the end of the programme the quiz master Mr Dinesh Choudhury was delivering an inspirational speech. He was also providing some valuable hints regarding how to preparing for a quiz competition.

“A Horrific Bus Accident Near Howrah”
Kolkata, February 13: A speeding truck collided head-on with a car yesterday at around 5 p.m. near Howrah, resulting in two fatalities and two injuries.
It was business hour, and the Howrah – Seadahcrossing was as packed as ever. One of the witnesses claimed that a speeding lorry struck a private automobile travelling in the opposite way while passing a bus. Both the driver and the passenger passed away instantly.
Severe injuries were sustained by two passengers in the back seat. Locals flocked to the scene and transported the injured people to the neighbouring hospital. Traffic was halted as a result of the accident. An investigation into how a truck was permitted to operate at that time of day has been requested. The executive branch has committed to looking into the situation.
ii) You are the editor of your school magazine. Write a report on the celebration of the ‘Children’s Day’ at your school for the magazine.
