Ans: The ‘Kauravas’ and the ‘Pandavas’ were the disciples of guru Drona. Dronataught them different skills of warfare.
b.) What is ‘guru-shishya’ tradition?
Ans: India was the home of the guru-shishya tradition where the pupils stayed in the house of the guru in ancient times. The guru was like the pupils’ own father and he also treated them as his own sons.
c.) What did Drona teach the ‘Kauravas’ and the ‘Pandavas’ ?

Ans: One day while the guru was taking a bath in a river suddenly a crocodile caught hold of Drona’s foot. Seeing his ‘guru’ in trouble Arjuna immediately raised his bow and released an arrow. The arrow hit the crocodile and Arjuna was able to rescue his guru. After this incident Arjuna became Drona’s favourite disciple.

One day, an ant was very curious to know what was on the other side of the bridge. Not wasting any time he jumped on to the bridge and started walking. After walking for miles the ant got thirsty. Seeing the stream below the bridge he thought of jumping into the stream to drink some water. Suddenly, the bridge started to shake and all of a sudden the bridge collapsed and the thirsty ant fell into the stream.
The ant was trying to get out of the but the water was too deep for him. Soon, a dove sitting on the branch of a tree saw the incident. The dove decided to help the ant and dropped a leaf on the river which floated towards the ant. The ant saw the leaf and tried to get on the leaf.
The ant got onto the leaf and went to the shore of the stream. The dove came to see if the ant was alright, but due to stress, the ant tried to bite the hunter’s toe, but missed his aim and the dove flew away.
