Aquatic habitat can be defined as the organisms which live in water. In the water both animals and plants are living. They are living water because that is suitable environment for them.
Basically there are 2 types of water :
1.) Salt water
2.) Fresh water
The difference between fresh water and ocean or sea or salted water is water is salty in case of ocean whereas river water is having good taste and no salt. The plants and animals are present in both types of water. The plants are completely submerged in water and examples are : algae, hydrilla and lotus.
The animals present in water are fishes, starfish, crab.
