Lioness is female gender of lion where lion is male gender / masculine gender. Lion is carnivores animal as it eats only meat and considered as the king of jungle. Male lion has long hairs on the neck called mane. Female lion does not have Mane. Lion has very sharp teeth and claws. Talking about lion size and weight, both are large than female lion. Lion is usually 5 to 8 feet and lioness is 4 to 6 feet. The length and color of Mane of lion is one factor used to identify the age of lion. The color is gold and bright color of yellow and orange. Young one has shaggy manes and adult has yellow-gold. Lions live in a group and a group of lion is called pride. Lioness often hunts in a group. Life span of lion is between 10 to 14 years in wildlife. The lion is also kept in zoo and raised by human and taught the tricks to entertain the people in zoo.
