The Feminine Gender of horse is Mare and the masculine gender or the male gender is called horse. Foal is common gender noun for young baby horse. The young one when reaches to age of 4 years , is called colt. The female foals called fillies. Mares have an 11-month gestation period. Generally Mare give birth to one or two foal at a time. The young ones that is foals can stand walk within few hours after the birth. Female Horse is called mammals as they give birth to young one and feed their milk to foals. At the age of 4 to 6 months foals will be weaned , after few weeks of birth they start eating grass and hay as well. The foals who has turned one year is called yearling and the mature male horse not capable of producing offspring is called gelding where as the mature horse who is capable of producing offspring is called stallion. When horse turned around of 6 weeks they are put shoe at their legs and the person whotrims and shoes horse hooves is called farrier.

Also used in sports activities like horse polo. Horses comes with different size and different colors. Horse is herbivores animal as it is completely vegetarian and don’t eat flesh or meat. Horses are known for their fast run. Horses are kept as cattle and used for pulling carts too. The shelter or home of horse is called stable. Horse don’t need much sleep so they sleep around 3 to 4 hours in 24 hours. Horses rest in standing position for long hours, rarely they lay down in deeper sleep case. The average life span of horse is considered as 25 to 30 years.
