Size of female duck is average 20 to 23 inches. Female ducks begin laying eggs at about 6 to 7 months of age. Females at egg-laying age will often develop color changes to their bills that have the appearance of freckles. If you observe a freckled bill it’s sure it is a female duck. Ducks are also called as waterfowl as they live in rivers, ponds, lakes and oceans that have water.
