Reason: Students you might be know about rules Do / Did / Does.
It’s a helping verb. Frequently use to make Interrogative sentence.

Answer: Where have they gone?
Reason: Auxiliary verb ‘Have’ is already present in the sentence. So no need of Do/ Did/ Does.
(c) I went to school yesterday . (Simple question using ‘did’)
Answer: Did you go to school yesterday?
Reason: Read the sentence.
What is the verb? Its went (And it is in past form)
So, Did is used.
