3.) J.L. Baird is a famous person, known for his great invention of television. He was born on 13 august, 1888 in Helensburgh of Scotland. He was admitted to Lomond School first to begin his academic journey. After finishing his school education, he joined university of Strathclyde to pursue higher education. But it was interrupted in the middle due to the effects of First World War. He started his professional career as superintendent engineer in the cycle valley electrical power company. He used to find interest in research and development areas always. His first transmission of a semi mechanical analogue television system was conducted in February, 1924. In 1927, he set up the foundation of the wired television development company ltd. after that the BBC telecast programmes used the thirty line Baird system from 1929 to 1935. People have remembered him and will remember in the coming ages too for his greatest invention. He died in 1946.

I can never be agreed with such attitude of Polya. I believe in being self-reliant with basic learning and knowledge. A person much gain some basic learning and knowledge to manage his living and lead a peaceful life. Reading and writing show us the path of personal development which is important to be a complete person. So, it has always special needs in my life.

Answer. One day, Polya took her husband’s jacket for sewing and found a perfumed letter within an envelope from its pocket. At first, she thought it would be money from the sound. The smell of perfume in the paper and the blue envelope made her believe that her husband was in love with another woman.
But when she found out the letter she became pale. She looked at the envelope, took out the letter and unfolded it. But she was illiterate so she could not read it. She felt the need of reading and writing for the first time in her life.

Answer. When she found the letter from her husband’s jacket, she started wondering her husband’s affair with another woman. She was thinking how her husband changed lately and took care of himself. Answer. For two silent moths, Polya studied every day. She patiently put together the words, learnt to form the letters, and memorized sentences. One morning when her husband went to work, she took the letter out of the cupboard and started reading it.

Answer. Polya was not agreed to learn to read and write initially. Her husband tried to make her understand the fact but she was quite ignorant. But when she got a letter from her husband’s jacket, she started doubting about his affair with another woman. She was sad and started crying with the letter. She tried to find out what was writing in the letter but could not read it. At that time she felt sorry for not being able to read for the first time. Then she decided to learn how to read and write and asked her husband’s help for that. After three months of constant practice she learned how to read finally. When she found out the meaning and purpose of the letter she felt insulted and burst out into tears. She realised the result of being ignorant and illiterate for so long time. She learned the importance of reading and writing in life finally.
