Ans: The Earth is the only planet where life is found to exist. on the basis of distance from the sun Earth is the third planet. The distance between Earth and Sun is 151.68 million km. It takes a year or 365 days to revolve around the sun. Earth has only one satellite called the moon.
Two thirds of the earth’s surface is covered with water bodies and because of this when viewed from space,the earth’s colour appears to be pale blue. Earth also contains solid surfaces such as mountains, valleys and much more. Earth has an atmosphere which primarily consists of oxygen and nitrogen.
It is our duty to protect the wealthy diversity of nature in terms of air,water,soil and life forms.

Ans: The sun is at the centre of the solar system.on the basis of distance from the sun,the planets are:-
- Mercury: Mercury is the smallest planet and closest to the sun. Mercury has no satellites.
- Venus: Venus is the brightest and hottest planet and it also has no satellites .
- Earth: Earth is the only planet where life is found to exist. It takes one year to revolve around the sun. Earth has only one satellite called the moon.
- Mars: traces of water flow was discovered. It has two satellites.
- Jupiter: Jupiter is the biggest planet. It has more than 60 satellites. It takes 12 years to revolve around the sun.
- Saturn: Saturn has rings around. It has more than 30 satellites.
- Uranus: It has more than 25 satellites. It takes 84 years to revolve around the sun.
- Neptune: It has more than a dozen satellites. It takes 164 years to revolve around the sun.
