Indian constitution is the organised political system with articles with which people govern the entire government. The first Indian constitution was frame and adopted by the constituent assembly on 26 November, 1949. It came into complete existence with full effects from 26 January, 1950. In 1935, the Indian national congress officially demanded constitution first from the constituent assembly. On behalf of INC, Jawaharlal Nehru announced that the constituent assembly would frame constitution without any outside interference. The Muslim league demanded separate state for Muslims in Pakistan and boycotted the meeting on 9 December, 1946. The term preamble refers to the introduction of Indian constitution. It contains the essence of the constitution where the objectives are clear and was adopted by the constituent assembly. In the 42 amendment of constitution with the amendment act 1976 three new words like socialist, secular and integrity have been included in the constitution. The constitution derives its authority for various actions from the people of India. The preamble of the constitution declared India as a sovereign, secular, democratic and republican country. The main objectives of Indian constitution are liberty, equality, justice and fraternity. It is the lengthiest written constitution in the entire world. There are fundamental rights, fundamental duties, directive principles of states policy, single citizenship, parliamentary form of government, emergency provisions and so on some exceptional features of Indian constitution.
