According to a recent study human beings nearly spend 6 months of their life staring at the mirror watch his or her face. Face is indeed one of the most important part of human body not only because of important organs it hold but also as now a day’s face play an important role in non verbal communication.
In this segment we are going to go through all the important parts of the face with its description too.

Forehead | It is the area between hair and eyebrow used to protect skull and for facial expression |
Eyebrow | These are the hairs present on top of eyes on both sides. Main role of the eyebrows is to prevent moisture entering inside eyes. Also played role in facial expression |
Eyes | This organ is the most vital one as it provide vision. Eyes are protected my physical layer of lids known as eye lids. |
Nose | Present in central part of the face. Main is to do breathing and smelling work. Presence of bones and cartilage is found. |
Cheeks | Represents the fleshly area of mass between ears, nose and eyes. Growth of bread can be seen in males. |
Ears | Organ located on the both side as they provide balance and sense of hearing. Ears also have their internal division of outer, middle and internal ear. |
Mouth | Present below nose used for speaking and eating food. Mouth contains tongue that is used for taste sense and whole mouth is bounded by lips. |
Lips | These are the soft mass piece that surrounds mouth area and used to protect mouth and also for facial expression |
Chin | Lowest part of the face present below lower lips as it helps to provide support to lower teeth. |
Jaw | It is the bony structure that is used to provide support the whole face structure and important for chewing and grinding part. |
Neck | It the cylinder part that is used to connect mouth with shoulder and other body. This part contains food and wind pipe. |
Hairline | It is the boundary where forehead end and hair part of head start. |
Temples | This area present on the both side at the end of forehead, besides the ears. |
Eyelashes | These are the fine hairs present on eye lids their role is to protect eyes from debris and other dust particle. |
Bridge of the nose | It the bony area present on upper side of nose located between both the eyes. This part provides support to nasal structure. |
Nostrils | Refers to the opening of the nose from where air enters. |
Philtrum | It is the part between nose and lower lips Interestingly this part is unique for each person. |
Jawline | It is the lower jaw part that provides overall shape to the face. |
Dimple | It is a type of depression that appears when a person smiles. This is also a genetic trait |
Temporal Bone | A bone present on above ear on both side of the face. |
Laugh lines | Wrinkles that generally appear when a person smiles. They also starts to appear during ageing. |
As we have gone through almost all the part of the face it is quite interesting to note how human body developed that much sensitive sensory organ like eyes, noses etc and also a physical protection around it too.
