Cosmos is something that always used to excite us in this we are most familiar with our solar system. Our solar system that we see today is the result of formations of billions of years. It contains not only planets and star but also different asteroids and other cloud of gases.
In this article we are going to see the planets of solar system with their pictographic memory and a detail description too.
Planet name and |
Description |
Mercury | As we are all aware of it mercury is the smallest and innermost planet in our solar system. This is a rocky planet with a thin atmosphere and extreme temperature variations. Mercury has a cratered surface similar to Earth’s moon, and it experiences the most substantial temperature differences between its scorching daytime and frigid nighttime. |
Venus | Venus is a rocky planet similar in size and composition to that of our Earth. It is known for its thick atmosphere, primarily composed of carbon dioxide, which creates a strong greenhouse effect. Venus has a surface temperature hot enough to melt lead, making it the hottest planet in our solar system. It is often referred to as Earth’s “sister planet.” |

Earth |
Earth is the third planet from the Sun and also home to humankind and the only known celestial body to support life. It has a diverse and dynamic environment, with oceans, continents, and a life-sustaining atmosphere. Earth is characterized by a moderate climate and a wide variety of ecosystems that house a vast array of living organisms. |
Mars | Mars is a rocky planet often called the “Red Planet” due to its rusty appearance caused by iron oxide on its surface. It has distinct features such as the largest volcano, Olympus Mons, and the deep canyon, Valles Marineris. Mars has polar ice caps and a thin atmosphere composed mainly of carbon dioxide. Efforts to explore Mars continue with robotic missions. |
Jupiter | Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system and a gas giant composed mostly of hydrogen and helium. It has a strong magnetic field and a system of colorful cloud bands, with the famous Great Red Spot—a massive storm. Jupiter has numerous moons, including the four largest known as the Galilean moons. |
Saturn | Saturn is a gas giant with a prominent ring system made up of icy particles and rocks. It is the second-largest planet in our solar system. Saturn’s distinctive rings are a remarkable feature, and the planet itself has a complex atmospheric structure with bands similar to Jupiter. Saturn has numerous moons, with Titan being the largest. |
Uranus
|
Uranus is an ice giant with a blue-green hue due to the presence of methane in its atmosphere. It rotates on its side, a unique characteristic among the planets. Uranus has a system of faint rings and a set of moons. Its atmosphere is composed mainly of hydrogen, helium, and methane. |
Neptune
|
Neptune is the eighth and farthest planet from the Sun. It is another ice giant with a blueish coloration due to methane in its atmosphere. Neptune has a strong magnetic field and fast winds, with the Great Dark Spot being a notable feature. It has a system of rings and a collection of moons, including Triton, which is believed to be a captured Kuiper Belt object. |
As we can see recently Pluto is also considered as a planet as if don’t fulfill the criteria to be one. Our solar system encapsulates many different unsolved mysteries that needed to be solved in the mean time.
