What can you see in the picture? Write about it briefly in your notebook.
Ans. In the picture I can see many people on a playground. There is a running track where lines have been drawn for the runners. Four students wearing t-shirts of different colors are waiting at the starting line for the competition to start. Many people are standing around the track and are cheering the runners. A person with a camera is sitting to capture the runners. A person with a red flag in his hand is waiting to give the signal to the runners.
What do you enjoy about sports day at your school?
Ans. I enjoy sports day at my school a lot. I enjoy participating in the various sports competitions and games that are organized. I also become very happy when me or my friends win prizes on sports day.
Discuss in the class what would happen if games were played without rules. You can take the help of your sports teacher.
Ans. All games have rules that must be followed while playing them. Such rules exist to ensure that the game is played honestly and fairly. If games were played without rules then-
1.) Players playing in the game might get hurt badly.
2.) Players will use unfair means to win the game.
3.) Players who have different capabilities will have to play together, which will make the game unfair.
4.) There will be dishonesty while playing the game.
5.) A player may hurt their opponent to win the game.
Can you write down four rules of any game that you know?
Ans. The rules of the game Badminton are as follows –
1.) The game must be played by 2 or 4 players
2.) The game is played with a stringed racket and a shuttlecock
