Ans: Vegetable vendor’s earnings in 5 days were Rs. 45, Rs. 50, Rs. 43, Rs. 52
and Rs. 60
so, his average earing is =(45+52+50+43+60)
250÷6
= 50
Ans: vegetable vendor’s earnings is Rs 50.
2.) Ramlal has 3 cows which give 12 litre , 8 litre and 7 litre of milk respectively. So what is the average milk given by Ramlal’s cows?
Ans: Ramlal has 3 cows which give 12 litre , 8 litre and 7litre of milk
So, average milk is ( 12+8+7)
= 27÷3
= 9
Ans: Ramlal has 3 cows , it gives 9 litre average milk.
3.)The weight of four students of class 4 is 27,23,28 and 30 kg respectively.Find the average weight.
Ans: The weight of four students of class 4 is 27,23,28 and 30 kg
So, the average weight = ( 27+23+28+30)
= 108÷4
= 27kg
Ans: Average weight of four students is 27kg.
4.)Deepak secured 38 marks in Hindi, 42 in Mathematics, 41 in environmental science and 65 in English during quarterly examination. Find the average marks.
Ans: Deepak secured 38 marks in Hindi, 42 in Mathematics, 41 in environmental science and 65 in English
so, average marks is ( 38+42+41+65)
= 186÷4
= 46.5
Ans: Deepak average marks is 46.5
5.)Rukhsana has 6 vessels of 25,27,24,32,33 and 15 litre respectively. Find the average capacity of the 6 vessels.
Ans: Rukhsana has 6 vessels of 25,27,24,32,33 and 15
So, average capacity of vessels is (25+24+27+32+33+15)
= 156÷6
= 26 litre
So, average capacity of the 6 vessels is 26 litre.
6.)A family of five members have a monthly income of Rs. 1650, Rs. 2500, Rs.2300, Rs. 2000 and 1900 respectively. What is their average income?
Ans: A family of five members have a monthly income of Rs. 1650, Rs. 2500, Rs.2300, Rs. 2000 and 1900
So, average income is ( 1650+2500+2300+2000+1900)
= 10,350 ÷5
=2070
Ans: five members average income is Rs 2070
.
7.) Amit paid Rs. 180, Rs. 140, Rs 210, Rs. 785, Rs. 205 and Rs. 208 respectively as the telephone bill for 6 months. So what was the average payment that he made each month?
Ans: Amit paid Rs. 180, Rs. 140, Rs 210, Rs. 785, Rs. 205 and Rs. 208
So, Amit average payment is ( 180+Rs. 140+ Rs 210+ Rs. 785+Rs. 205 + Rs. 208)
= 1728÷ 6
= Rs288
Ans: average payment that he made each month is Rs288
8.)A cricketer made 60, 75, 100, 25 and 50 runs respectively in five matches. So what was his average score in each match?
Ans: A cricketer made 60, 75, 100, 25 and 50 runs
So, his average score in each match is = (60+75+100+25+50)
= 310÷5
= 62 runs
Ans: his average score in each match is 62 runs.
9.)Niti, Riti, Ranu and Sweety, Paro and Shalu made respectively 24, 23, 15, 40, 25 and 35 chapattis. What was the average number of chapattis made by each?
Ans: Niti, Riti, Ranu and Sweety, Paro and Shalu made respectively 24, 23, 15, 40,
25 and 35 chapattis
So, the average number of chapattis made by each( 24+ 23+15+ 40+
25 +35 chapattis)
= 162÷6
= 27
Ans: So, the average number of chapattis made by each is 27
10.)One vegetable vender sold respectively 250, 275, 310, 280, 320, 300, 330 Rupees worth of vegetables in a week. So what was his average sale in that Week.

So, his average sale in that Week(250+ 275+310+ 280+ 320+ 300+330)
=2065÷7
= 295
