Ans: The miller lived beside the river Dee.
3.) Why did the king want to exchange his heart with miller? 2
Ans: One day the king met the miller and was surprised to see that a humble millerwas so happy whereas he himself was unhappy. Therefore, the king wanted to exchange his heart with miller.
4.) What makes the miller sing so loud and free? 3
Ans: Miller worked in a mill and earned his money from there daily. He neither had any enemies, nor had any debts to anyone. He had a wife and three children, and was always grateful to the river Dee. These made the miller sing loud and free.
5.) Explain with reference to the context. 4

Ans: The lines were said by the King Hal. When the king asked the miller, how he was happy and sang songs so beautifully without having any wealth, the miller replied that he followed some basic principles in life, which included – loving his family and children, not borrowing money from people he couldn’t pay, and always being thankful to the river Dee. After hearing this, the King passed the above mentioned statement.
