All High courts in India in a tabular form
High court is place where all legal works, judgements and other works are done as per definite law or articles of the Indian constitution. After independence, the constitution of India was prepared and implemented for operating the country with proper laws and judicial initiatives. According to the constitution, there must be one high court in each state. But there can also be one high court for legal works of two or more states as per article 231 of Indian constitution. So, there are total 25 high courts within India which work as per the rule and laws. Out of all high courts Calcutta high court is the oldest one which was established in 1862. Bombay high court and madras high court were also established in the same year. There are individual chief justice for every high court in states. The recently established high courts are Andhra Pradesh high court and Telangana high court both of which were established in 2019. The madras law journal was the first law journal of India published in 1891, was dedicated to reporting judgements.
