A baby gets stuck in a locked house. Design a rescue scenario Paragraph
In the heart of Bidhannagar, Kolkata, within the HUDCO housing society, Mr. & Mrs. Sen with their only child Aarav (1.5 years old boy) started living since July 2023. Mr. Sen, a successful Civil Engineer who used to live at Gurgaon, for last 4 years and started living here due to his recent job transfer at Kolkata office.
Last Thursday (16/11/23), around 11 am, Mr. Sen came out of the conference room at his office. He looked at his mobile screen and surprised to see 9 missed calls from her wife. He called back immediately and knew that his Aarav got locked at their apartment for 35 minutes from 10:10 am to 10:45 am. However, now the situation was under control with the help of their neighbours.
That day, Mr. Sen returned early from his office. Mrs. Sen started describing the every moment of the situation. At around 10 in the morning Mrs. Sen went down to bring some vegetable from the running vegetable hawker at their society gate. Mrs. Sen stepped out of the living room briefly, looked at Aarav, he was safe playing with his toys. She bought vegetables multiple times from that vendor in last few months. As usual she kept open the main-door of their apartment.
In the mean time due to some curiosity or mischief, Aarav shut the door from inside which was kept open by her mother and the latch clicked into place. Few minutes later, Mrs. Sen came up with the bag full of veggies. Seeing the locked door her face became pale. She called out for her son and got a muffled response from within. Aarav’s cries grew louder listening her mother shouting from outside. In a society like HUDCO, known for its security features, Mrs. Sen realized she needed assistance beyond her immediate reach.
Immediately she called the security personnel who must be having duplicate or a master key to combat this type of situation. He came after 5 mins with two another keys having same numbers on them but after several tries with those keys he could not open the door lock. By that time neighbours from another 4-5 apartments gathered there. All were getting upon that security person and the entire lag security system of that society. Among these residents a middle-aged woman Mrs. Ghorui whose husband is a Senior Electrical Engineer at CESC called husband for a help. Her husband from the other-side asked for 10 minutes time.
Within next 8 minutes a CESC emergency team reached their compound with a long folding stair which is used for services at long electrical poles. They set the stair at the backside of the apartment and get into the apartment through backside balcony. The CESC person easily opened the door from inside.
The neighbors erupted into applause, expressing their shared joy at Aarav’s safe rescue. Mrs. Sen, with gratitude in her eyes, thanked everyone who stood beside her in that critical situation and specially Mr. and Mrs. Ghorui.
