Topsy turvy Land Summary
Topsy turvy land is beautiful humorous poem by H.E Wilkinson. In this poem the poet takes us to a land where everything is the opposite than real world.
The first para of the poem “The people ………………….. Land” draws the picture of the topsy turvy land where people not walk by their feet rather walk upon their head. The sea there is made of sand and not water. The children go to school at night instead of morning in the topsy turvy land.
The second para of the poem “The front door step ………………… Land” adds further to the picture of the topsy turvy land. The front door step is at the back rather than the front. The people there walk when they stand. The hat is worn on the feet and not on the head.
The third para of the poem “And buses ………………………………. Land” mentions that buses on the topsy turvy land ride on the sea and the boats provide pleasure to the people by ridding on the up and down streets of the topsy turvy land”
The last and final para of the poem “You pay ……………………….. Land” ends the poem by adding some more features. People over there pay for what is never got. It is a grand and humorous experience where people go when they are really coming back.
The poem shares a very different and unique picture of a land where everything is the exact opposite of the real world we live in.
