The Peasants of India Composition for Students
The Peasants of India Composition: We all know the true fact that the major percentage of population in India live within village. So, people have to depend on agricultural sector mostly for their livelihood. People focus on crop production not only for fulfilling the needs of food but also they take it seriously for making profits. The main occupation of village people is growing crops within their farming lands. Since earlier time the peasants are suffering and facing miserable situations despite doing hard work all day. In most situations peasants suffer silently as nobody understand their situation and help them to recover it. It is really unfortunate that those people who are feeding us they are unable to fulfil their own needs ultimately. In this composition, we will share details about the condition of farmers now and then in our country.
Condition in earlier times:
In earlier times which is before independence, farmers had to cultivate crops under strict guidance of rich zamindars. All the lands were under zamindars’ control and farmers had to tolerate the torture and misbehaviour they got from land owners. After working hard for prolonged year farmers were not allowed to conserve their crops for their own. They had to pay high taxes to zamindars for which they failed sometimes and used to be under tremendous pressure for working without paying. At that time there was no development or arrangement of irrigation and peasants have to depend on monsoon season for water of growing crops. For that they did not get expected crops every year and had to suffer due to food shortage. Due to insufficient production and farming options farmers used to remain unoccupied most of the time in a year. As a result they failed to fulfil their basic needs of regular life.
Condition at present:
After independence, the government of India has taken major steps for improving the status of farmers. The prevalent zamindari system is no more now and peasants can grow crops freely. Major initiatives have been taken for improved irrigation system and controlling floods to protect crops. Besides that the government has controlled the market pattern with marginal cost for each crop so that farmer get proper cost for their crops from each part of the country. In some remote villages, electricity has also been transported for fulfilling all the needs of farmers. With all the facilities and initiatives farmers will find bright future in their life soon.
Conclusion:
We have always seen Indian farmers to suffer despite doing hard work all day in lands. Before they were under pressure of zaminadrs or landlords and now they face difficult weather conditions and lack of facilities for fulfilling their needs. But their situations have been improved much with time by providing them more chances of growing with complete freedom. They do not need to worry about loss or bad luck as the government is always beside them.
