Good morning to the respected principal, teachers, and fellow friends. Today we have come to celebrate African Industrialization Day in school. The teachers mentioned about the significance of the day and encouraged us to conduct an event. In the beginning of the program, I am going to share a small note on the significance of celebrating African Industrialization Day.
African Industrialization Day is celebrated on 20th November every year to draw attention of trade partners and local government to develop industrial belts in Africa. Poor economic condition has created problem to develop industrialized region in the country. Poor infrastructure, limited labourforce, low investment scheme create problem to maintain industrial growth in Africa. Therefore, United Nations (UN) declared African Industrialization Day in 1989 to promote the significance of industrialization for economic growth of the nation. The government has implemented new business policies and protocols to maintain economic growth and wealth creation. Adaptation of industrial transformation agenda has helped African government to maintain engagement of stakeholders. The enactment of The African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement has helped to create labour-intensive jobs within African nations.
The events arranged by United Nations System helps to draw attention towards the challenges faced in Africa’s industrialisation. Collaborative work of trade partners helps to mange industrial development of African countries that influences economic growth intensely. The industrial advancement assists to generate high employment that influences productivity statistics. The creation of wealth through industrial progress helps to eradicate poverty across the African nations.
