(1) Write five sentences about the political life of the early Rig Vedic Age.
Ans:
(i) King was the head of the slate called Rajan and was succeeded by his son.
(ii) King was elected by the people and monarchial system of kingship was practical largely.
(iii) The advisory body to the king was known as Sabha and Samiti.

(3) What do you know about the social life of the Vedic Age?
Ans: The society was divided into four divisions called Varnas on the basis of professions – Brahmanas, Kshatriyas, Vaisyas and Sudras. The Brahmanas was involved in studies, religious affairs, Kshatriyas were the warrior class, Vaisyas wer the agriculture and traders and the sudras formed the servile class.
(4) What were the economic activities of the Vedic People?
Ans: The main economic activities of Vedic people were agriculture, cattle breading, art and craft, trade. Domestic animals like cow, horse, sheep, goat, —-, etc were reared.
