1.) What are the two strange things the guru and his disciple find in the Kingdom of Fools?

Answer:

The Guru and his disciple were shocked to know that the fact in this kingdom everything was different.  For them night is day and day is night. They slept at daytime and did all the works at night. Again everything in this kingdom cost the same, a single Duddu, means one rupees. Seeing this guru and his disciple realised that it was a kingdom of fools.

2.) Why does the disciple decide to stay in the Kingdom of Fools? Is it a good idea?

Answer:

The disciple decided to stay in the kingdom of fools as everything was cheap in that  kingdom specially the food items and the disciple was eagerly waiting for more food items.

But it was not a good idea to stay back at the kingdom of fools and for that later he faced suffering on the cost of his life.

3.) Name all the people who are tried in the king’s court, and give the reasons for their trial.

Answer:

The people who come to king’s court for trial were –

(i) The merchant, who was the owner of the house. He came to the king’s court for trial because the wall of the house belonged to him.

(ii) Next the brick layer was called as he had made the wall at the time of the merchant’s grandfather

(iii) After that an old woman who had distracted the brick layer by his dancing and with the jingling sounds of her anklet was called as for her the brick layer got distracted and made the wall weak.

(iv) Then the goldsmith was called as the dancing woman complained against him. As he did not deliver the jewellery on time she had to walk up and down the lane again and again.

(v) But the goldsmith turned his complain towards the merchant’s dead father, because of whose order of ornaments he did not give the delivery to the woman on time. As the merchant’s father was not alive, the young merchant was again called for trial.

5.) What are the Guru’s words of wisdom? When does the disciple remember them?

Answer:

The Guru said that the place was not safe to stay because it was the kingdom of fools. It was the Guru’s words of wisdom.

When the disciple were brought to the court for execution, only because he was fat and fit for the stake, he realized that all words of his guru were true.

6.) How does the guru manage to save his disciple’s life?

Answer:

The Guru managed to save his disciple’s life by playing a trick. He came to the place and said to the king that he wanted to die first before the disciple as he was Guru but the disciple denied and wanted to go first. The king got confused and asked for the actual reason why they wanted to be killed. Finally, the Guru revealed the planned truth and said that the  person who would be killed by the state first would be reborn as the  king of the kingdom and the second one would be  reborn as the minister of that kingdom. The king got puzzled and took the decision to be died as he wanted to be reborn as a king again. In this way the Guru managed to save the life of his disciple.
