Answer the following questions with group discussion.
(1). Explain the structure of the Legislative Assembly.
Ans:- India follows legislative both at the central and the state. The upper house famous as legislative council and lower house known as legislative assembly.
The legislative assembly strength depends upon the population of the state. The maximum number of seat vidhan Sabha should not exceed 500 or to be below 60 the governor can represent only one member for Anglo Indian community in case he feels not represent properly. The team of office is five years; in case of any problem it can be dissolved before the expiry team, upon the recommendation of the cabinet. During this situation the state will be under president rule. The speaker and deputy speaker are elected, among the member of the assembly.
(2). which areas do the members of Legislative council represent?
Ans: – Member represented from five year. Some are elected from among the members of the legislative assembly, local bodies, and graduals constituencies in other constituencies. The governor also represent the member who are in the field of art, education, literature, social science, science etc.
(3). Write a note on the qualifications and tenure of the Governor.
Ans:- The governor of the state of India have similar power and functions at the state level as those of the president of the India at union level.
The qualifications of a Governor are as bellow
1) Must be a Indian citizen of India
2) Should not be less than 35 years of age
3) Must not hold any office of profit.
4) They must be a member of either parliament or state legislative.
The term of the office is 5 year, even they can retain at office after retirement until and unless someone come and join their duty.
(4.) Write a note on the Chief Minister.
Ans:- The Chief Minister is the head of the state government . Chief Minister should be a member of any one of the two houses, also within six months. The success or failure of the state government depends upon on him / her.
The functions of the Chief Minister are as below
1) After voting he makes a list of minister and sent it to the governor.
2) Allocation and reshuffling portfolios among minister
3) In case of defense of opinions, he can ask minister to resign.
4) He directs, guides and make policies
5) He also has the rights to summon or postpone.
6) He always co- ordinates and supervise all the actions of all departments
