- URL stands for Universal/Uniform Resource Locator
URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator or Universal Resource Locator. URL is also known as web address or internet address. It is also called Uniform Resource Identifier. URL is an address which can be typed on a web browser, address bar to access particular resource. It is made up with several different path each path is separated by forward slash. It is developed by Tim Berners Lee in 1994.

- Absolute URL is free from any relationship, which means it is independent.
