Difference between Mole percent and Mole fraction
Mole percent |
Mole fraction |
Mole fraction which divided by hundred its mole percent. | The number of molecules of one component which is divided by the total number of molecule in the mixture is called mole fraction. |
It is also referred as
Amount/ amount % i.e. n/n%. |
Mole fraction is useful when there the two reactive components are mixed together. |
We can easily convert mole percent into mole fraction by dividing by 100. | It is not temperature dependent. |
Example of mole percent is as follows :-
A mole fraction of 0.80 is equal to 80% of mole percent. |
Example of mole fraction is as follows :-
A mole percent is 80% is equal to 0.80 of mole fraction. |
