Daltons law of Partial Pressure Formula
The Dalton’s law of partial pressure is state that a non reacting gasses mixture of total pressure exerted is equal to sum of partial pressure of individual gas or different component gases.
Formula :
PT = P1 +P2
For example we have the container which is present non reacting gas, gas n1, gas n2, and applied Volume and temperature by out side.
According to ideal gas equation
PT × V=(n1 + n2 ) RT……………(1)
By the Dalton’s equation
P1 × V = n1 RT………………………(2)
P2 × V= n2 RT…………………….(3)
When we sum the equation (1) and (2)
V (P1 + P2)= RT (n1 + n2)
RHS = LHS equation (3) prove the Dalton’s partial pressure equation
That is
PT= P1 + P2
