Nouns are the naming words for referring persons, things, places, feelings, materials, groups or classes. Nouns are divided into two parts based on their number which are countable noun and uncountable noun. We can understand that mostly nouns can be counted from its names itself. But there are some other nouns like abstract nouns which are uncountable. Uncountable nouns are those which cannot be counted and we cannot know their specific number. Common nouns like water, air, sugar, coal, tea, milk, oil, rice etc. are some examples of uncountable noun. Like countable nouns uncountable nouns do not have plural forms. If a noun does not mention any specific quantity and answers the question of ‘how much’ then it is uncountable noun.
