Tom Losses A Tooth Summary: ‘Tom Losses a Tooth’ is written by Mark Twain it is a strong about a school boy Tom who never wanted to go to school on Monday morning. Tom was always searching for way to not go to school. One particular day, Tom wished he got sick so he could not attend school. He started to think of excise. At first he found some symptoms of stomach trouble but the symptoms soon became very weak and totally went away. Next he thought of his loose tooth, but then he decided not to make it an excuse or else aunt Polly would pull it out and that would hurt Tom. At last, Tom looks at his swollen toe and plans to use it as an excuse. Tom started to groan. Sid woke up an require Tom about his groan. Tom terrified Sid by crying louder and he tells Sid to tell everyone to forgive him, upon hearing this Sid ran to get help. Sid went downstairs to call aunt Polly. He told aunt Polly that Tom is dying. Aunt Polly rushed upstairs with Sid and Marry. She was very worried but becomes much better as she understood that Tom was acting. Aunt Polly told Tom to stop all this acting and get ready for school. Tom now begins to complain about his tooth aches. He inform aunt Polly, that his tooth was shaking and hurting him. Aunt Polly looks at the tooth and said that it must be pulled out. To this Tom is terrified and tells aunt Polly that he is absolutely fine and can go to school. Aunt Polly is in no mood to listen to him and asks Mary to get a silk thread. Aunt Polly then ties one end of the thread to his bedstead and other end to his tooth. She pulled and the tooth was hanging by the bed post. Now there was a gap between Tom’s teeth made him smile in admirable way.
