Once upon a time there was a crow in a Jagatpura village. He used to live in a Litchi tree of a big fruit garden. He was very decent and intelligent by nature. Inspite of the tremendous heat of Jagatpura ,he never made himself hungry and thirsty in his whole life span. He used to survive by eating different kinds of fruits from the near by garden and all kinds of wastage of the village. The village had a single pond ,near the fruit garden and he used to manage to drink water from there. But this time weather could not think about anybody. All the water resources including the pond had dried up because of that bad scorching heat. People along with the animals were dying of not getting food and water. Suddenly the village started facing the effects of drought. It was also very difficult for the crow to survive a single day without water. One day he was flying and trying to go to the near by village to search for the water. On his way he saw a pitcher with a very little amount of water inside it. He tried to get it repeatedly but failed because the level of the water was too low. Beside the pitcher there were some pebbles. Instantly he got an idea . He Picked up the pebbles one by one and started throwing them inside the pitcher. Automatically the level of the water had risen up. He drank the water and flew away.
