The craze for cinema is seen in everyone whether they are old or young, man or women and children. Fashions and manners are copied from films. The advantage of cinema is that it provide entertainment, freshness & enjoyment to mind. It also tell us about the social evils and give us valuable information. It also help in spreading awareness. It has social, moral and educational importance. It reduces poverty by providing employment in cinema field such as cameraman role, bodyguard, film producer, lighting technician, runner, costume designer, makeup artist, prop master, location manager, sound technician etc. There are many International as well as national awards given to the best actor/actresses of the year. One of the greatest award is Oscar( American cinema). In India the awards are Dadasaheb Phalke award, critic best award, academy award, Zee cine award, Filmfare award. The highest award is Dadasaheb Phalke award, introduce by govt. in 1989. Thee Dadasaheb Phalke award was recently given to Rajinikanth in 2019. But there is a negative impact of cinema. A young people’s become street dancer, singer, disco dancers and mimicing the hairstyle of actors and actresses. Also our cinema films are turning into western line which is not good for nation. They mostly focused on love, kisses and violence. This look awkward according to our culture. Many fans commit to suicide, crimes copying the scene in the films. It doesn’t mean that cinema is bad but the problem is within producer and director they misuse the cinema to earn profits. One should realize their responsibility towards the nation. Also it is a duty of a censor board to permit only those films which are good for society and give some valuable information.
