Today we are going to celebrate the 126thbirth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda in our school. We will start the function with flag hoisting ceremony which will be followed by a parade and small cultural program. In the beginning of the event, I am sharing a small speech about the importance of celebrating the day.
The birthday of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is marked as Parakram Diwas to glorify his deeds as a prominent freedom fighter during the struggle of independence in India. The event is celebrated to praise the indomitable spirit and bravery of Netaji that smoothens that struggle of India’s freedom movement. The aspiring stories of Subhash Chandra Bose influences young generation to retain selflessness, strength and dignity during the vulnerable situations.
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was born on 23rd January, 1897 in Cuttack, India. He ranked fourth in Indian Civil Service Examination in 1919 with highest score in English. However, Netaji refused to join the job under the rule of British Government and retuned back to India in 1921. The guidance of Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das influenced Netaji to join Indian National Congress to serve the nation. Netaji was elected as the President of Indian Congress in 1938 and continued his position in 1939. Later, he formed Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army) with 5000 people during the Second World War. Netaji was deeply influenced by the spiritual ideologies of Swami Vivekananda. Based on the government report, Netaji suffered a third-degree due to a place crash in Japan on 18th August, 1945. There are different rumours about the accident and his whereabouts.
The celebration of the Parakram Day is done to pay tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose as one of the valiant armours of Indian’s freedom fighting movement. The Indian Government pay tribute to Netaji as a true patriot and ardent freedom fighter every year. The students of ITI has made a six feet statue with automobile scarps to celebrate 126th birthday of Netaji in 2023. The sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has made a sand statue of Bose by using 450 steel bowls in Odisha. The president has also paid floral tribute to Netaji at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
