(1) Which type of caste system was prevalent in the society during the medieval period?
Ans: During Medieval period, a rigid caste system was prevalent in the society and it was divided into four categories – Brahamans, kshtriyas, Vaishyas and Shudras.
(2) Which period is called as ‘Rajput period’?
Ans: The period between Eight century and thirteenth century when many Rajput states were established in North India is called “Rajput period”.
(3) Why Mahmud Ghaznavi invaded India?
Ans: Mahmud Ghaznavi wanted to make Ghazni the most powerful kingdom in the region and so he needed huge amount of money to make a large army and thus he wanted to invade India to increase the money for seventeen times from A.D 1001-1025 .
(4) Why Muhammad Ghori invaded India?
Ans: Muhammad Ghori, the ruler of Gaur invaded India because he wanted to build up an empire in India. He invaded Gujarat in1178 A.D and Prithviraj Chauhan, the ruler of Delhi and Ajmer.
