(1) What do you mean by the Universe? Enlist the different forms of the universe.
Ans: The universe is a large space consisting of the sun, the planets, the Earth, the moon, stars, gases etc.
The various forms of universe are –
(a) Planets & Satellites
(b) Asteroids
(c) comets and
(d) Meteors.
(2) What is a planet? Is our Earth a planet? How?
Ans: The word “Planet” means all the moving things that are made of solidified gaseous substances moving around the sun in a particular direction. Yes, our Earth is also a planet as it moves or revolves around sun and is a solid substances involving the presence of air & other gasses required to sustain life.
(3) What do you understand by solar system?
Ans: Solar system is a part of a Galaxy named Akash Ganga or mulky way that consists of the eight planets and the sun.
(4) Enlist the distance of planets from the sun. Also tell which planet is far away and which is nearest.

(a) Planet:
These are large solidified gaseous objects that moves around the sun in a particular direction.
(b) Meteors:
Meteors are also called shooting star which are some scattered material on the solar system.
(c) Earth sphere:
This refers to various layers or spheres of earth i.e. – land, water, air and living elements. It refers to shape of earth which is a sphere.
(d) Equator:
An equator is an imaginary line that passes from east to west through the centre of Earth.
(e) Tailed star:
Meteors are called tailed stars which is created by friction of air while moving around the sun.
(f) Axle/Axis:
The imaginary line that joins the northern hemisphere of the earth to the southern hemisphere is called axis. The Earth notates an it axis.
(g) Asteroids:
Asteroids air those small planets that revolve around the sun except the eight planets.
(h) Lunar Eclipse:
During the revolution of Earth around the sun, it comes in between of sun and Moon and creates its shadow on the moon which is called lunar eclipse.
