Let’s understand the poem:
1.) What notable features of a simple child does the poet describe in the first stanza?
Answer: The child is very simple and carefree. She is vibrant and lively in nature.

Answer: The girl lived in countryside house. She was eight years old. She had curly thick hair. She was a beautiful girl with fair eyes.

Answer: In the poem ‘We are seven’ by William Wordsworth shows the contrast between the viewpoint of the adult and child. In the poem we see that the girl is lively and carefree. She is not affected by her siblings’ death for she considers them that they are with her. Adults on the other accept the death easily and mourn over the loss of the people. The girl does not accept the fact and sings song for them. Even when the poet asks how many siblings she has, she replies without thinking that they are seven of them. This shows that she still considers them a part of her family. Adults don’t really care to mention the number of dead people. Adult don’t count the dead people with the living ones. This is the contrast of viewpoint in the poem that the children are innocent and simple and are untouched with the practical world.
