Section –D
1) Total no. of pencils:- 350800
No. of pencils packed in a carton= 145
No. of cartons in factory= 1550
Therefore, pencils it should produce to fill these cartons= 350800-(145*1550) = 126050
2) a) 560/2=280
b) 4890/2=2445
c) 525/2=262.5
3) A farmer produced 57649 apples of one type and 41897 apples of another type.
Mixed Apples= 396 boxes
Therefore, remaining apples= 57649+41897-80 =99,466
4) Ravi sold 825 washing machine at 39000 each.
He bought 325 T.V sets
Therefore, Cost of each TV= (39000*825)/325= 99,000
5) 825/25=33
6567*789=51, 81,363
56667/2=28333.5
2804/4=701
6) The total production of natural rubber in India during 5 years was 595600 tones.
Production during 3 years were 15009 and 16890 tones.
Therefore, 3rd year production= (595600-(15009+16890))/3 =1,87,900
