Ans) When goods and services are produced by one country but purchased by another country is called export system. Again purchasing of goods and services from foreign country is called import system. After the establishment of planning commission and due to industrial growth the requirement of industrial goods and raw material were highly increased in India. For that India started importing machines, iron, mineral oil, fertilisers, medicines etc. After independence in order to gain India gave impetus in exporting system. India started exporting tea, coffee, spices, cotton textiles, leather, footwear, pearls, precious stones, etc.
(2) The internal trade of India.
Due to internal trading India witnessed the development in the industrial sector. Commodities like coal, cotton, cotton textiles, rice, wheat, raw jute, iron, steel, oilseeds, salt, sugar, etc. are included in internal trade. For internal trading railways, waterways, roads, airways, etc. and ports like Mumbai, Kolkata, Cochi and Chennai are used. Ans) The tourism industry has developed a lot in India because India is rich in cultural heritage. Here people can go to the different pilgrimage centres for worship of different religions. Again confluences of rivers, forts, caves, etc. are there in all over in our country.
(2) The quality of life and standard of living of Indian citizens is increasing
Ans) After the establishment of planning commission India has witnessed the development in the industrial sector. Simultaneously the speedy growth of importing ,exporting and internal trading system has put its impact on the overall development of the country. For this development many employment opportunities are now available which helps in the progress of the country. The quality of life and standard of living of Indian citizens has also increased.

(1) What efforts are made by our government to promote agricultural industries?
Ans) Agricultural comes under primary sector and manyother tasks and industries are based on this. In fact it is major occupation in India. Seventy present of Indian society depends upon agricultural sector.To promote agricultural industries different efforts are made by our government. Modern techniques like drip irrigation, organic farming are started using for farming. loans are also giving to farmers through rural banks and cooperative institutions. PanchayatSamitis are organising study visits, agricultural outdoor trips and farmers’ get-togethers.The farmers are provided training regarding soil testing, nursery of fruit plants, pisiciculture, poultry, cattle and goat rearing, dairy farming, etc. Again modern tools and implements, seeds and fertilisers are also provided for development.
(2) How is employment generated in the tourism sector?
Ans) Employment is generated in the tourism sector by giving jobs to the people as a tourist guide for providing information about the places to the tourists. Again, in some remote and difficult tourist places local people are employed to help the tourists in return for a fee.
