a.) What are the differences between plants and animals?

Plants in a similar manner like animals ,absorbs carbon dioxide from the air and releases oxygen.All living things requires oxygen, which is essential for their survival .So, plants play a significant role to our survival .They are the chief components of oxygen in the atmosphere and performs an essential function in maintaining the levels of carbon dioxide .Plants also contributes in averting soil erosion and aids in protecting the soil.There are usages of plants both for the household as well as for the purpose of industrial products.The plant kingdom provides us plants that contains medicinal properties.
d.) How is the animal kingdom useful to us?
In several ways, animal kingdom are useful to us .The animal kingdom comprising of all categories of animals, as for instance ,dogs, cows, cats and buffaloes are domesticated for several purposes .Animal such as fish , sheep and fowl are used as a source of food. On the other hand, horses, oxen and camel are those animals which performs an essential function in executing various occupations. Earthworm plays an important role in carrying out agricultural activities.

Sheep – sheep provides us with wool, which is essential for making woolen clothes.

Dogs – dogs are used as domesticated pets, which protects our house by serving as a watch guard.

In our surroundings, we find various kinds of plants and animals. These plants and animals can prove to be both beneficial or harmful to us.
Useful plants
There are usages of plants both for the household as well as for making industrial products. As for instance, fenugreek ,potato ,apple and banana are used as the source of food . However, vasaka, hirada ,behada and asparagus are used for medicinal purposes because it contains various medicinal properties.So, these are the various plants which proves to be beneficial for us.
Harmful plants
Some plants can also prove to be harmful, as for instance, the dodder, parthenium and weeds. The nettle seeds and colocasia leaves give rise to itching.Plants such as oleander and lantana possess extremely strong smells. The datura plant falls under the category of poisonous plant. The excessive growth of fungi and algae in water, makes the drinking water polluted, so as a result of which it may lead to rapid spread of diseases .Therefore, these are the various plants which portrays harmful consequences.
Useful animals
There are various animals which are quite beneficial for us. Dogs ,cats, cows and buffaloes are the domesticated animals that are mainly kept for the purpose of domestic uses . Fish ,sheep and fowl are mainly used as a source of food .Sheep gives us wool which is necessary for making woolen clothes.Horses, oxen and camel are those animals which proves to be quite effective for carrying out several occupations.The earthworm performs a crucial role in executing agricultural work.
Harmful animals
In our surroundings ,there are some plants and animals which are not useful to us. Diseases like malaria, typhoid , yellow fever and dengue are transmitted by mosquitoes. Cockroaches, mice and rats contaminates our food ,thus causing rapid spread of infectious diseases. The bites of some poisonous lizards,spiders ,snakes and scorpions are extremely dangerous and can often lead to the death of that person. Wild animals can cause a great deal of destruction ,if they enter human settlements.
