So, rich people are also behind making more money as long they are living. We can find severe competition in society for becoming more rich and powerful than others just because of money. For money true friends become rivals to each other when there comes insecurity and lack of confidence due to money. We can find that people judge others and take interest in making relation or being in touch when they find someone powerful with lots of money. People often forget the actual factors of being a true person and go behind money only for fulfilling their needs. Even people are engaged in work for earning more money when they are not much interested in that kind of jobs. As a result, they are becoming unhappy in personal life and feel lots of stress and tension for their professional life. So, we all should figure out the problems that are arising for giving much importance to money. ii.) a.) when poet was rich with lots of money many of his friends used to come to his house. This means the poet used to get attention from others even when they do not find him true friend. Just because the power of money those friends wanted to be in touch with money. But in critical situation when the poet needed others’ help and support those friends showed their true colour. So, the poet got to know about his false friends who admired him because of his money.
b.) Poor men’s wives feel disgusted in life when they face difficulties to fulfil basic needs of life. They often lose patience in managing household things and use words for their husbands in disgust. They find all the responsibilities on their heads for which they lose temper sometimes. All their complaints about life go to their husbands who do not support his family financially enough for being poor.
iii.) Money makes the world go round is the proved text in the poem ‘Money’ where we can see many friends were used to visit the poet only when he was rich. Those friends were to be in touch with the poet for his financial power. But when he became poor the number of friends was also decreased and he was left with only few friends who were his true friends. In this case, we can understand the false power of money which makes us understand and identify the real persons in our life.
iv.) ‘poor men need not go up so much as rich men should come down’ the statement clearly explains the fact that poor men do not need to go ahead for financial power as they live in happy and content life with limited resources. They find happiness in simple living even when they are poor. On the other hand rich people need to be poor for understanding the true meaning of happiness and its worth in life. Financial power of reach people brings many fake people around them who want only their benefits from those rich people. So, rich people should be poor for identifying the genuine people in their life who will be their side always irrespective of their financial power.
